Pickens Golf Club Course Information – open for public play, is located conveniently between Clemson and Greenville, is a par-71, 5,570-yard renovated, hybrid 9-hole course with 18 uniquely crafted tee boxes providing golfers a full 18-hole experience that appeals to golfers of every skill level. The course boasts new diamond zoysia greens, Tahoma 31 tee boxes, strategically placed bunkers, and renovated cart paths. The fairways billow through tall pine and cedar trees, rolling terrain with Bermuda turf. The layout, bordered by woods, brings water into play on a couple of holes. Players will need to have a keen focus on driving the ball in the fairway and honing their short game to target the smaller, undulating greens.
This historic course, formerly known as Pickens Country Club, has a new refreshing design provided by Jeff Lawrence in 2021. The course originally opened in 1953 with nine holes and added a second nine holes designed by Willie B. Lewis in 1958.
Pickens Golf Club will soon feature an all-new modern “Short Course”, 9-Hole PAR 3 design, to compliment the new 9-hole hybrid course, slated to open in early 2023. The driving range has been updated, a separate chipping green and putting green are provided, rounding out what will be one the area’s finest practice and golf club facilities. Construction is also now complete on our new two-level club house with a restaurant and bar overlooking the #9 green, fitness center, golf shop, and resort-style pool. These dynamic improvements are part of an overall 188-acre redevelopment of the site into a full-service luxury Golf and RV Destination resort to debut in early 2023.
